Mapping Color #6 from California based visual artist Chelsea Wills, is a hand-dyed silk scarf with found natural plant material as a dye source. Using a special technique of wrapping the silk in the found materials and leaving the fabric in the outdoor elements to let nature take over the dyeing process resulting in unique and uncontrolled patterns and colors, each one with its own story to tell. Each piece can be worn as an accessory, tied beautifully as a mouth covering alternative or hung on display as art.
