Production Transparency

At AVMM, sustainable and ethical production is our priority. All of our collections are mindfully made in Europe, and we produce as many products as possible locally, in our facilities in Berlin.

As makers ourselves, we want to build a relationship with the people who make our clothing, because we truly believe that makers should support makers. That is why we only work with factories who treat their workers fairly and who are willing to do small-quantity production, which is in alignment with our slow fashion ethos.

We use natural fiber materials whenever possible, such as cotton and silk, as well sustainable viscose fabrics such as Lyocell and Modal. All our mixed fiber materials are deadstock, giving us the opportunity to create unique clothing in limited quantities using high quality fabrics, leftover from larger fashion production.

Our producers

AVMM Atelier (Berlin, Germany)

Both of our in-house brands are designed in our Berlin-based studio. From inspiration concepts to initial prototypes, final samples for shootings and even limited edition quantity production, we are inspired to be active and present in the entire process of bringing a garment to life and love that our studio is a workspace for creativity.

Local Tailors (Berlin, Germany)

We are connected to an intimate network of talented Berlin-based patternmakers, sample makers and seamstresses who support us in our made-to order garments and limited edition quantity production for both of our in-house brands. 

Family-run Factory (Stettin, Poland)

We are happy to now be doing our larger production in collaboration with a garment manufacturing facility based just a few hours drive from Berlin, located just on the border of Germany in the Polish city Stettin. Working with less than a dozen employees, this factory is not just family run, but also treats their employees as family.

Non-profit Factory (Berlin, Germany)

We work with a Berlin-based, non-profit production facility that helps people whose performance is impaired find a quiet, relaxed and stimulating working environment for vocational rehabilitation. Products at this non-profit factory are durable, of high quality and manufactured in a socially and environmentally compatible manner.
